The Championship was held in Shrewsbury this year with Wales Ladies playing on the No. 1 green.

We played Merseyside A in our first game and had 6 winners out of 8 and won 102 to 79.
The second game was against Burton and District.  We had 4 winners and won 105 to 99.
The third game was against Staffordshire. We had 7 winners and won 110 to 75.

We came top of our group and so went into the semifinal against Greater Manchester.
We put up a spirited fight having 4 winners and only lost the aggregate by 9 chalks 93 to 102.
The other semifinal was between Yorkshire and South Yorkshire with Yorkshire winning.  The final between Yorkshire and South Yorkshire was won by Yorkshire.

We had an enjoyable day with great weather and we came very close to being in the final.  All the squad put 100% effort in and I was proud of them all.
