Mark Ball is Welsh CGBA Veterans Merit Champion for 2026

Congratulations to Mark Ball of the Vardre Bowling Club and Gwynedd, on today, at the Bethesda Bowling Club, being crowned the Welsh CGBA Veterans Merit Champion for 2026. Mark beating Paul Richards from the Wrexham Area 21/14 in the Final
In the Semi Finals Mark beat Garry Roberts and Paul beat Keith Wall.
The Welsh Patron John Percy made the presentations and thanked the following;
The Bethesda Bowling Club for hosting the Competition.
The Welsh and Gwynedd CGBA officials (Gareth Hughes – Dusia Price – Ann Banks and Gwyn Owen) for running the competition.
The Referees D T Evans – Arthur Peake and Ian Black.
Richard Jones and John Roberts from the Bethesda Club for running the kitchen and running the competition raffle.
A good day, in glorious weather, at Bethesda.
Congratulations again to Mark Ball, a worthy Champion on the day. Mark, Paul, Keith and Garry now go forward to represent Wales at the British CGBA Veterans Championship at the Prees Bowling Club in Shropshire later in the month.
