Bradley Park Bowling Club Supports Disabled Bowling

Keen bowlers in Wrexham are beating disability to finish jack high come rain, hail, snow or shine on an all-weather surface at Bradley Park Bowling Club

The Club hold regular weekly sessions for their Touchwood visually-impaired Club and the disability Club Spot the Jack at the Green in Gwersyllt.

Touchwood (Wednesday 10.30am April-Sept) is for the visually impaired and has helpers and professional coaches available to provide assistance. Spot the Jack (Thursday 10.30am all year round) is for people with learning disabilities, special needs and their support.

The Club prides itself on being an all inclusive and community based group and welcomes everyone and because Bowls is a low impact sport, Bowling Aids are provided for those who are recovering from illness or new to the game. Club Chairman Ray Barnes said “We do our best to adapt the game to each individuals needs. We want to try and help everyone participate in a game of Bowls. We have a specially adapted wheelchair and are always keen to know what we can do to help.”
