Whilst the Welsh Team beat Derbyshire by 8 chalks this was narrowly short of the victory by the 13 points required for qualification for the Semi Finals of the BCGBA County Championship.

Wales have, however, qualified for the Supplementary County Championship which will be held at Bellingham Bowling Club, New Lodge, Wigan WN1 2ND on Sunday 6th August, commencing at 10am.
