There were 130 entries into this year’s Senior Merit, eleven fewer than last year. The qualifying round will be played on Saturday 17 May and players will qualify on a green in the area of their main club. 32 players will qualify for the final and the number of qualifiers from each area will be proportional to the number of entries that area received.

- Flintshire had 17 entries. They will get four qualifiers and the qualifying round will be played at Flint.
- Glyndwr had 27 entries. They will get six qualifiers and the qualifying round will be played at Old Colwyn.
- Gwynedd had 43 entries. They will get eleven qualifiers and the qualifying rounds will be played at Bethesda and Llanfair PG.
- Wrexham had 43 entries. They will get eleven qualifiers and the qualifying rounds will be played at Coedpoeth and Garden Village.
