BCGBA Ladies Club Championship

Vardre Deganwy Ladies represented Wales in this club championship  held in the North Lancs & Fylde area.

Vardre weredrawn in group A along with Springbank (Gr. Manchester), Dilhorne (Staffordshire) and Marown (Isle of Man). This group played their round robin matches at Belmont Bowling Club, Green Marine Gardens, The Esplanade, Fleetwood, FY7 6HF.

The winner of each of the four groups progressed to the semi-finals later in the day. The semis and the final were played at Cleveleys WMC, 34 Slinger Road, Cleveleys, Thornton-Cleveleys, FY5 1BN.

Gareth and I went up to Fleetwood to support Vardre Deganwy in their efforts representing Wales yesterday.
The games were challenging on a green large enough to accommodate 6 blocks and have plenty of room. All the ladies tried their best and enjoyed the experience and their Friday evening together as well their games. After 3 games of 15 up they were all tired by the end but very pleased to have represented Wales.
